Quality Program Indicators Documentation Checklist
Capture all information in the compliance folder for the school year. Auditors always check the previous year’s data.

Indicator 1: Programs of such size that offer a sequence of three or more earned credits.
    ____1.1 Master Schedule of classes to include all POS course offerings. Lead teacher to provide.
    ____1.2 Student handbook/course guide listing POS course offerings and descriptions. CTE Coordinators to provide MNPS POS and Student Progression Plan with CTE Course descriptions.
 
Indicator 2: Programs of such scope that are aligned with state approved program of study within career clusters.
    ____ 2.1 Copy of POS for program areas. CTE Director Attested List from website
 
Indicator 3:  Programs having a certified and appropriately endorsed teacher. State Licensure department to check state website—teachers responsible for keeping license current and to include any industry certifications (occupational licensed teachers)
    ____3.1 Teaching Certificate: Teaching certificate verifying proper endorsement(s)
    ____3.2 Highly Qualified: Highly qualified status verification (as applicable)
    ____3.3 Industry Certification: Industry certification certificate (as applicable) verifying up-to-date training/testing
    ____3.4 WBL: WBL certificate (as applicable) verifying training

Indicator 4: Programs teaching the state approved curriculum standards.
    ____4.1 State Standards: State standards for all courses taught in all programs of study—include syllabus and pacing guides/scope and sequence that show when and how you address each of the standards. Teacher to provide.  
    ____4.2 Inventory List: Equipment/inventory lists indicating opportunity for teaching of all standards (as applicable)—Lead teachers to provide.

Indicator 5: Programs having a state approved dual credit/dual enrollment with post-secondary institutions.
    ____5.1 Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment: Current dual credit, dual enrollment and/or articulation agreements and materials demonstrating linkage to postsecondary through a program of study. CTE Coordinators to provide.
Indicator 6: Programs being supported by current labor market data to support high skill, high wage, or high demand jobs.
    ____6.1 Labor Market Data: The Source (Department of Labor) data indicating job outlook reports for region specific to program of study, OR Local chamber of commerce data indicating job outlook specific to program of study. CTE Coordinators to provide.

Indicator 7: Programs that teach all aspects of an industry: Note: All Aspects of Industry include 1) Business Planning, 2) Management, 3) Health, Safety and Environment, 4) Finance, 5) Community Issues, 6) Principles of Technology, 7) Personal Work Habits, 8) Labor, and 9) Technical and Production Skills.
____7.1 All Aspects of an Industry: Field trip, business/industry guest speaker, and/or lesson plans documenting teaching of all aspects of industry. Teacher to provide—complete All Aspects of Industry with detail in each area. Include a folder for each item. Ths folder should contain a lesson plan and documentation of the lesson being taught. Teacher MUST include more than just the spreadsheet—great opportunity to capture experiential learning (fieldtrips, guest speakers, job shadow, etc. Lists of students, dates and pictures would be PERFECT). 


Indicator 8: Programs having an active advisory panel.
    ____8.1 Advisory Committee Members: Roster of advisory panel members (by program, school and/or system) indicating program areas represented/place of employment/responsibilities. Academy Coach and Lead teacher to provide.
    ____8.2 Advisory Committee Documentation: Current meeting agenda, sign-sheets and minutes for at least two meetings annually. Academy Coach and Lead teacher to provide.

Indicator 9: Programs having a career and technical student organization as an integral part of the instructional program. First year teachers can show evidence of local competition and learning about CTSO, for example, include pictures of state conference and in-class competition.
    ____9.1 CTSO Lesson Plans: Lesson plans indicating the integration of CTSO leadership skills and activities in all classes/courses.  Teacher to provide.  MUST be at least TWO lesson plans—one on leadership and one on the CTSO. It must be a lesson plan and NOT two sentences explaining what you do in the class—full lesson plans.
    ____9.2 CTSO Activities: Activities demonstrating classroom, school, and/or community based competitions—competitions can school-based, district, regional, state or national—if you provide pictures, please provide a narrative to set the context. Create a calendar of competitions that students have been involved for the year, including date, type/name of competition and number of students involved, and results.  Teacher to provide

Indicator 10: Programs promote CTE and academic curriculum integration with academic teachers.
    ____10.1 Integrated Lesson Plans: Lesson plans (two per year) indicating joint integration activities with Math, Science, English, and/or Social Studies teachers—this is working with another teacher, not just teaching math or science in your class. First year teachers can show evidence of lessons in their classroom that include Math, English, Science and/or Social Studies. PBLs with general education teachers should be implemented by year two. Teacher to provide.  Please capture lesson plans in your lesson plan templates or PBL template—do NOT submit a narrative of what you did in class.
